Small Modern Desk in a Small Room
A small modern desk can provide you with a work space that does not overwhelm the room. Build a small modern desk in a small room is a simple task, if you have all the necessary tools and wood panels for installation. Because the desktop is small, it requires organization and neatness so that you have room for paperwork, writing or computer.
Use the measuring tape to get the length and width of the small modern desk. Measure the length and width of a wall indent, if you are planning to build a small desk that fits in a specific area. Write down the width and length. Draw the desktop of plywood with a pencil using measurements width and length. Use the ruler to make straight lines when drawing the rectangle. Cut the desktop with the table saw. Turn the plywood desk upside down, so the top surface is facing down. Draw an “X” in each square drawn on the desk corner. In addition, pull the “X” on each of the front ends of the legs that will meet the underside of the desk.
Place the half-inch thick drill. Place wood glue into the holes drilled on the table legs and inserts a dowel in each of them. Apply wood glue around the surface of the table leg which will draw on the desktop. Turn the leg upside down and insert the dowel end that protrudes into the hole on the desktop. Add a layer of paint or stain to the small modern desk. Add more layers to the desk for a bolder and brighter appearance. Let it dry completely before using it.
